Production Technology

Our Unique Production Technology

Each production site (Nihongi, Takaoka, Mizushima and Chiba) has a production technology research center. Each center aims to develop unique production technologies for next generation based on the core/fundamental technologies developed over Nippon Soda's history.
Our mission as the Production Technology Division is to achieve mass production of new products rapidly and, at the same time, to continuously train highly skilled personnel.

Improvement of Technology Development Bases - Aiming for technological evolution and fusion

The production technology research centers are staffed with a wide range of personnel, including synthetic chemists, process engineers, and chemical engineering specialists.
We promote a wide range of research to rapidly industrialize new products, to improve production processes of existing products, and so on.
In recent years, to seek efficiency of research/inspection , we constructed new facilities at the Takaoka and Nihongi sites and integrated and consolidated various research resources.

Nippon Soda has test production facilities that can scale up not only conventional reactions but also special reactions, i.e. fluorination reactions, high-pressure reactions, and cryogenic reactions. The facilities are utilized in the development of various manufacturing processes.
In addition, our test facilities for Cellulose derivatives and our test facilities for Polymers that are capable of polymerization reactions in compliance with the High-Pressure Gas Safety Act enable us to further deepen and evolve our proprietary production technologies.

Maintaining and Brushing up Production Technology - For Safe and Stable Production that Lasts into the Future

The Nisso Technical Training Center (NTTC) was established in order to maintain and improve technologies for safe and stable production. The center provides education on production skills and safety, with a focus on experiential education, to all employees involved in our manufacturing operations.
Please look forward to Nippon Soda's developing "Manufacturing strength" on going.
