Unique liquid polybutadiene
for a wide range of applications
NISSO-PB is a liquid atactic butadiene oligomer synthesized by polymerizing butadiene using Nippon Soda's independently-developed living anionic polymerization method.
About NISSO-PB
NISSO-PB has a high 1,2-vinyl content, high reactivity and excellent storage stability.
NISSO-PB is a liquid polybutadiene independently synthesized by Nippon Soda Co., Ltd., derived by polymerizing butadiene using the living anionic polymerization method. Because the polymer structure is composed of carbon and hydrogen, it has superior water resistance, chemical resistance, electrical characteristics, mechanical strength, and heat resistance. NISSO-PB has a high affinity to olefin resins and due to its high curing activity it can be used in a wide range of products such as paints, adhesives, molding compounds and elastomers.

Electronic materials
The characteristic structure of NISSO-PB provides it with low dielectric constant, making it ideal electrical or electronic material, e. g. Copper Clad Laminate. With a 1,2-vinyl structure over 85 %, the B Series offers high reactivity to thermal or light excitation.
The JP Series with a 1,2-vinyl structure and epoxy groups has unique properties that differ from those of general epoxy resins.

Paints/coatings
The G and GI Series can be used as diol components for polyester, polyurethane, and other polymers. The reactivity of the (meth)acrylic groups in the TE Series can be used in many areas, including adhesives and paints. The GQ and TP Series are polyfunctional polybutadienes. They can be used as ingredients for adhesives.
