In the Industrial Chemicals category, sales increased from the previous year mainly because of increases in sales of caustic soda and phosphorus chloride, etc., despite a decline in sale of liquid chlorine. In the Dye Stuff Chemicals category, sales increased year-on-year because of an increase in the sales of developer. Sales of the feed additive DL-Methionine rose from the previous year because of an increase in sales prices and solid exports.
In the Specialty Chemicals Products category, sales of “NISSO PB” and transparent conductive glass increased, but sales of the special ISOCYANATE decreased. As a result, sales remained unchanged from the previous year.
In the Eco-business category, exports of the water treatment agent “Nisso Hi-Chlon” and sales of slime remover increased. As a result, sales in the category increased from the previous year.
In the Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Intermediates category, sales of the pharmaceutical intermediate AOSA and the pharmaceutical additive HPC, etc. increased.
As a result, sales in the category increased from the previous year. In the system to treat PCBs by dechlorination, sales of treatment equipment for power utilities were posted. As a result, sales in the category increased from the previous year.

Agro Products Division

Domestically, sales in this category increased from the previous year mainly owing to a launch of the new insecticide “PHOENIX” despite the decline in sales of the fungicide “TOPSIN-M” and the insecticide “MOSPILAN.”
Exports of the herbicides “NABU” decreased, though, sales in the category increased from the previous year because of a rise in sales of the herbicide “HOENEST,” the insecticide “MOSPILAN,” and the acaricide “NISSORUN.”
Sales of fungicides for industrial use increased from the previous year due to a rise in sales of mildewcide.

Transportation, Warehousing, Construction, Non-Ferrous Metals and others

The Transportation and Warehousing category and Construction category recorded solid performance. Sales in the Non-ferrous Metals and Others category decreased from the previous year because of a decline in zinc quotations as well as decrease in sales volume at environment development.
